After a career stretching over more than 30 years, The Scandinavian Automotive Supplier Association’s (FKG) CEO since 2011, Fredrik Sidahl has been a frank and outspoken profile in the Swedish automotive supplier industry. In this webinar Fredrik Sidahl will reflect on the members of FKG and their business relations in and with China. What has been the challenges and the opportunities? During the years, Fredrik has led a number of delegations to China to explore possible establishment and partnership for FKG’s members.

The Chinese automotive industry is the world’s biggest by far and is today mainly driven by the fast development of electric vehicles. In 2020 the ownership limitation for foreign investment in the commercial vehicle sector was removed and the limitation on ownership limitation and number of joint ventures in the passenger car sector was removed earlier this year. The removal of foreign ownership cap has allowed global automotive companies to be more flexible and agile in terms of investment, strategy and product offerings.
